wow thats not effecient at all. if you're only doing 8 chickens and 1 rooster you can put 4 across leave an empty row under them for eggs then put 4 more, leaving another empty row for eggs gives you space for 1 rooster and 3 chicks to grow

they reduce your Travel Weariness by sleeping in them - the effect is based on quality -

Traveling via teleporting or using crossroads gives travel weariness, which can be removed by sleeping in a bed or drinking alcoholic beverages. A better beds (a Sturdy Bed) will remove more travel weariness, as will beds made of better materials. Travel weariness removed also depends on the time logged out.

noone knows, but at same quality sturdy bed > straw bed > spruce bough bed. so if you can make a q100 spruce bough bed but only a q10 sturdy bed it might be best to go with the spruce...but thats only a guess(I bet if Apoc was still around he'd test this)

look at beds empty discussion pages you'll see Apoc wasn't interested to know - normally when logging out in a noobs q 10 fir bed for some hours your TW should be down - on the other hand: as long you aren't a member of a village it doesn't matter anyways as you can always TP to your HF no matter what TW shows ...
