whats wrong with building on mudflats? less time to pave, so you can get to your building faster. they're always nice and flat with no cliffs...I could understand if there was a clay node there, but how often do you find clay nodes on mud flats?

you'd understand when you encountered someone building his Timber right on a q40+ curio + feldspar spot you are used to...

It was hypothetical, I didn't actually build on a mudflat. I just wanted to know how mudflats work.

Also, if I have a palisade cornerpost and put some wall sections to the east and north, then lock the cornerpost, will I be able to expand the palisade northwards and eastwards or will it lock me out of interacting with any of the palisade?

I am starting to understand how claims work. I built myself a little camp including a cabin and someone occasionally steals my rabbit fur (usually I only have one drying). Should I consider abandoning this camp and just go out on the road? What should I take with me? I feel like I need to move until I can establish a claim. How can I stay safe at night?

keep worthy things in your Inventary when logging out - also getting LP for Yeo and needed skills for it isn't that much...go for it: claim your property

But I have little LP (like, 60) and honestly I have never seen much of the world yet, so I might leave this one behind and maybe find a better place. :D

I'd suggest keep settlement, learn basics and start to explore your suroundings step by step - sure playing nomad for a while is fun too, but works better when having a boat ...

I have been exploring my surroundings, but fast travelling to my hearthfire to return home. I am wondering if my areas is kinda croweded, because I know of two homes sorta near mine and the whole place is devoid of resources. I can't catch a single fish and there are no fishing nodes.

Anyways to grind LP?

You are going to be sustaining your LP with cone cows/bark boats and ants for a while for a while until you get crops higher and perception.
