I think you're doing it wrong...
Anyway, honestly, try not using shift.

Misprint.
Anyway, right click without shift don't work too.
Client always going to plant it where I clicked.

Download Arksu client or UNION, do CTRL + Z. That enables tile centering for walking, who knows? Maybe it works for planting.

Nope. Tried with 6 survival, got Q11 water.
Person with 15 survival tried, also got Q11 water.

That's softcap.
If it was hardcapped, the water from the first person would be q10.
Hope you have a great day

Krikke, what makes you say that is a softcap? Higher and lower survival both gave the same quality water.

Flame, wellwater is not capped at all by any stat.

Ok, well... I have cave with lake, lake without shallow water. And my minehole is very close to this lake. What if I gonna dig around this lake? Next tile to water. Is it safe? I afraid to flood my minehole or my char.

don't worry water stays where it is - tiles you digged around lakes are the the same like all others digged in cave

With the changes to moving damage is chasing down the boar for the finishing blow after slinging it down from a boat still legit? Or does it need to be hit multiple times while chasing it down now?

Legit. Tried. Also, getting movement hit by animals is also legit.
Also, getting move hit by people wastes more of your def than normal hit.
