C'mon borka, that wiki page doesn't have the formula at all.

I do that too but we gotta keep on our toes.

Curdling tub adds to hardcap, trays softcap, racks do not affect anything (still need to update that misfact in my guide).\

I would guess it's:

Edit: See borka

averaged with tray quality if the tray is lower than the curds loaded in.

RoBWiki cheese as starting point - enough links to follow like this:

If the cheese tray is lower quality than the curd, the cheeseQ will be the same as the cheese-trayQ, when sliced.
If the cheese tray is higher quality than the curd, the cheeseQ will be the same as the curdQ, when sliced

Barrels can affect the quality of beer and wine fermenting in them. Other than that, you're correct in that barrels don't change the quality of anything you then store in them.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Why not just build the gate now?

The palisade already have a gate on the south part. (it is a square with four sealed corners and the north wall has the two extra), I kept those two posts there for the hypothetical need of a second gate later on the game, but I guess sealed corners can't make gates, right? or wrong?

You should seal them & bash one down when you remove the 2 walls between them. Then rebuild the removed cornerpost & build your gate. Only one cornerpost needs to be unsealed to make a gate.

I believe wall segments and corner posts have the same amount of HP? Either way, you're better off only building one cornerpost where you want your gate, and bashing the wall segment 2 tiles away.

The orange arrow is where the second cornerpost will be, and the red arrow is where you bash the wall.
If you're lucky, it will destroy the wall segments on both sides of itself (and not the cornerpost) thus reducing the amount of work you have to do. Naturally this could not work at all, or take down far more of your wall than you desired.
Not building a second cornerpost is to save on materials, and building the solo post is expecting the splash damage not to reach it.

This exact method worked perfectly for me this world.

How much STR you need to destroy hearth fire that does not belong to you?

What happens if you do not have hearth fire due to somebody destroying it?

Same if it's your's or not (if it's not you need vandalism): 25 strength.
If someone bashes your HF, if you're a member of a village, your village claim acts as your HF (you can tp to it for free) but you can still be summoned anywhere if you left summonable scents. However, non-summonable scents can't be tracked if you don't have a HF so if you're not a crimedoer but you trespass here and there, having no HF is nice.
If you're not in a village, on the other hand, you can't teleport anywhere. When you log in, you can teleport anywhere in the wilderness which is highly inconvenient if you have a base, so quickly build your HF before you can't log back in where you logged out or something.
Ty Borka and Krikke for verifying HF bash str

I was able to bash my hf at 28 str. I suppose it can be a bit lower, like 25.
and if i'm right, quality of the axe matters while demolishing. Mine was q27 at that moment FYI
Hope you have a great day

minimum 25 Str to bash HF

Soak Value is 5 but lots of Hitpoints

i don't think q of (stone)axe matters

Pickaxe makes bashing faster

Do you have any tips on how to get tamed cattle to your settlement? There are moors (or whatever has the yellow grass texture) accessible by a river but reading the wiki warned me that Rafts only travel crawling speed. Is this only way or are there faster? Like can you travel to your hearth fire with animal on leash like you could with liftable object?

If I have to use raft how many animals can I pile on to it?

Thank you for answering my questions, just realized I have been just spamming more questions.

Here's how to do it the pro way:
1. Get two boats and one raft.
2. Disassemble raft.
3. Put raft pieces into boats.
4. Walk as near your home as you can with the cattle until you hit a river you need to cross.
5. Get there with the boats by entering one boat and, while in it, lifting the other.
6. Assemble raft where cattle are.
7. Get cattle from one side of river to the other, one by one.
8. Disassemble raft.
9. Put raft in boats.
10. Repeat until you have reached your destination island your base is on.
11. ???
12. Profit!
Note: Steps 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 9 are to be done by the person who's driving the boats. All the other by the tamer.
