Can you give short "Killing bear with sling for the dummies"

I have quality 36 sling and atm 34 marksmanship. Tried killing bear once but it ran away so I don't really need to basics but detailed explanation how flee mechanic works.

- Just takes a long time to kill. Usually they return if you make them run by dealing too much damage. *At low HP bears "enrage" and will no longer run. Enrage boosts their close combat abilities, but that's meaningless to a hunter with a sling. Agressive and cannot be outrun except at sprint. Don't expect to escape unless you've got shallow water to wade in.

I don't understand how food affects cows quality, from what i can tell, all that affects it is cow+bull/average +20-5 .

The only thing that food can do is lower the quality of your animals over time. If given food that is lower quality than the animal and its products, then the values of your animal will invisibly and permanently lower themselves over time to the same level as the food quality. While the animal itself will maintain that it is a q500 cow, if you've been feeding it q200 fodder then sooner rather than later you're going to notice that the products you harvest from your cow are dropping in quality towards q200.

Will this hurt its breeding quality though?

Very good question. Its been a long time since I've had the balls to check, to be honest, so I'm not sure anymore. Crop quality is just so much faster and easier to raise versus animal quality. Someone else will have to answer this.

So, is it better to replace all our pali's with brickwall or it's better (and easier) to build brickwall between our pali's (like purple line goes).
We have 1 tile gap between outer and iner walls all around village.
*Both northern corners gonna be personal plots surrounded with walls.

Technically it's better to have the brick wall on the outside since once people get palibashers, someone could come along and bash your palisade and then use it to secure a ram for the brick wall.

EDIT2: I have had chicks in my coop for quite some time what kind of space they exactly need? around them or just free 2x2 slots in coop? Also did chickens only lay eggs directly below them but have 2x2 grid where they incubate eggs?

If you intend to build a village and maintain it yourself then having charisma helps. You'll need to do less work to keep your authority higher and thus be able to keep your village growing without lots of people.
