Well, I have a 52q axe, 70 surv and I get 54q hides... Boars are max 56q so I'd say you need a 55-56q axe to not softcap them?

Dunno but if you have a Q44 branch you can make an axe that doesn't softcap boars, so it's very useful.

Should I bother trying to sell it or just hold on to it then?

At what quality does feldspar start to become valuable?

feldspar really gets valuable at q60+ which lets you make an 85-90q kiln. I'm not certain a q75-80 kiln would be worth the troll bones required to make it. Considering you can buy q70-74ish clay off people.

You probably stunted its growth. When you plant it you must not walk over it or place anything near it. It also needs to be 2 blocks away from a wall.
