What crops should I be growing (and why)? My farm is currently set out as follows:

25 wheat (for flour for baking, straw for straw dolls)
25 carrots (perception)
25 grapes (wine)
25 hemp (fibres)
10 tobacco (psyche bonus and getting rid of travel weariness)
15 tea (LP boost)
5 pumpkins (?)
15 flax (fibres)
15 peas (?)
5 peppercorn (?)
10 onion (?)
15 beetroot (?)

Is there a point growing any of the ones I can't see a use for? Or am I missing something?

grow a 3x3 patch of each one, and replant it when it's ready.

What is the use of them though, other than replanting and raising Q?

thats really not the best way to do things...I mean you need/use way more wheat than you do other crops(hops for example), so why would you only grow 9 of each?

hes doing 5X5 now and seems to have a good set up.

@farmer guy: get hops and maybe more wheat for beer later, and just keep up with what you're using. also pumpkin is good for pies and breads(don't make the huge mistake of eating plain bread). make sure you have a good oven and bake lots of good food for fep...until you get sausage and cheese production going well(and then you'll probably want to farm even more carrots since they grow fast and are good fodder).

also each plant has a different use(or several uses) and you can find them with a quick glance at the wiki.

theres even a nice table there with grow times for you, and remember the wiki is your best friend in this game!

1: Can I move the camera myself? Or is the only way to move the camera walking close to the edges of the screen?

2: I'm using the Ender modified version, as it was suggested, but for some reason it doesn't seem to play sound. Any ideas? When clicking the play button on this site and starting the game normally, sound works as it should.

Edit:
Forgot this one,
3: How do you logout besides just closing your window? Is there a way? Is your player character still visible after logging out, and can you be murdered(I'm aware people could take your stuff).

1: option menu (toolset), camera. Fixator is pretty popular
2: Play button on this site shouldn't launch enders but the vanilla client...
3: Yes but someone else will have to say how, I forget off the top of my head. You don't log out if you're aggroed in combat, and certain scents let you be summoned offline.

1: Ok, thank you
2 The play button doesn't launch enders, it launches vanilla. When I launch enders there is no sound.
3 So this means if you don't commit crimes, you're safe offline(your life at least).

3. That is way people have alt vaults (characters that hold valuables and are only logged on when its safe)

Taming aurochsen doesn't really require unarmed. It's only to make sure you don't immediately die IF you get hit somehow.
If you know the taming technique and are able to do it 100% safe, you can tame with 1 unarmed.
Hope you have a great day

If you're new to the whole melee twitch taming, go for full Q40+ leather armor and ~20 unarmed. Both should be very easy to get.

if you have access to it, use bronze armor its better than iron. also if you're experiencing lots of lag, its probably a bad time to try taming, but as long as you have them trapped you shouldn't take more than 1 hit even if you lag.
