SuperNoob about the armor, if you only hunt animals and don't do PvP, Q60-ish leather armor is good enough for anyone, anything higher is a waste of agility.
You will see that a mouflons deals the same damage to a bronzearmor person as a plate armor+dhelm+Q200 pants+Q200 r-boots person.
So yeah, leather armor is required, and enough UA to tank 2 hits of an aurochsen should be enough to tame safely

grow a 3x3 patch of each one, and replant it when it's ready.

thats really not the best way to do things...I mean you need/use way more wheat than you do other crops(hops for example), so why would you only grow 9 of each?

hes doing 5X5 now and seems to have a good set up.

but then you have to harvest 25 tiles of each crop most days.

I find it's better to have 14 3x3 patches, then aside from that larger fields of other crops, which you only farm when you want the materials. Then every so often you use the seeds from the 3x3 patch to help replant the larger patch.

Why does everyone connect epic armor with taming... You get the same result with ANY armor if the deflection class is above the animal's damage! A million quality armor would simply put your agility to 1, that's all!
Also I meant safe taming as in, if he makes a mistake and gets hit once-twice, the def doesn't get drained.

Anyway, I think survivability is much more important than speed, and using a cutthroat cuirass is a win/win.
