2 Questions.

I spawn, and I'm not in a town or anything, if I go to the chat, it says I'm alone in the world. Even I know the game isn't that empty. Is this wrong?

How do I craft things, I go the the craft menu, get a wicker basket. It says Sticks, 10/0/0. I grab 10 sticks in my inventory, but it says I don't have the resources. What gives?
(Is the crafting so complicated in Ender's?)

Also, is the game ever planned to be paid?

1. "Alone in this world" just means that you don't have anyone on your friend list. If you meet someone in the game you can add them to your friend list, otherwise if you want to friend someone from the forums you can set a specific code (hearth secret) and give that code to them and they can add you in game, or vice versa.

2. There really are two types of crafts, objects and items. Objects need to be placed in the world and then built using items. For wicker basket you'd select it from the build menu, and then click somewhere in the game world where you want to place the object. Once you click, your character will move to the spot and put down a signpost, which you can then put the required materials into. With the signpost selected, you can shift+click the required items into the post, and then build the object once you have all the materials inserted.
