Uhm, hello there, really new to this game, so sorry if this question has already been asked 100 times..

My friends and I are playing this game together, and we have gotten far enough that I have Yeomanry and a claim stake. I have set up the claim, and used it to protect our home and valuables, but now none of my friends can get in or out without being in a party with me.

We are all kin with each other, but that doesn't seem to make a difference, they need to be in a party with me to be able to pass through. So, tl;dr: How do I make it so that my friends can live in my claim with me, without me having to be online and in a party with them?

Go into your kin list and set your friends to be a certain color. Use your claim stake and select the color that you set your friends to, then give them permission to trespass, steal, and vandalize. Now they're free to do as they please for better or worse. So will everyone else who is set to that color in your kinlist. =)

Ah! Thank you so much! We already have a log house, two timber houses, and quite a village going in this valley we found. For everyone to be able to move about and do things without me having to be online to allow them in is going to be a huge relief!

What is Steel Crucible's quality formula? As in for the crucible, not the softcap for the steel made with it.

"The quality of steel is directly equal to quality of the wrought iron used, softcapped by following formula:

(CoalQ + CrucibleQ + FuelQ)/3 "

I'm looking for CrucibleQ formula regarding the bricks and cast iron bar you use to make crucible.

Do fish just appear in my inventory when fishing or do i have to do something specific?
im near a lake with fish and my rod has all components

Silly question, but have you pressed Adventure > Fishing (A>I) and clicked on the water? If so, then it's just a waiting game. The fish you can get depend on phase of the moon (I think), time, bait used etc so it may just be the wrong combination of these factors. Try moving along if you have no luck!

If your fishing pole is actually complete (rod/string/hook/bait-lure) then equip it and select ADVENTURE>FISH from the menu and then click anywhere in the water where you see fish jumping. Your sprite will change and some music will play. If you're using a lure then you'll constantly catch fish until the lure breaks and if you're using bait you'll keep fishing until you catch a fish at which point the music will stop and a fish will be added to your inventory.

Actual "fishing" is just clicking and then waiting. There's no other action required to catch fish.

Is Q49 ball clay worth anything (in terms of trade)? I assume it's fairly low-average but I'd like to check as I haven't seen any posts in A&O with prices for it.

I think I've seen this issue before when fishing from a shore when the fish are in the deeper water. Try fishing from a boat or getting as close as you can to try to reach them.

Probably not very much in terms of sales unless you get high quality wood and a kiln and sell them as higher quality bricks. They make an excellent starting point for your economy though.
