With a ram or basher presumably, soak was said somewhere to be same as a house but I'm not sure where I read that, and presumably the hole poofs and nothing changes downstairs from it but the ladder disapearing.

Starting to think about building a brickwall to protect my (solo) hermitage. If I have one-way crossroads out of the village, do I need a BW gate?

IIRC it is. Pave the mountain with stones/bricks and plant grass on those tiles.
Then plow it and plant carrots on them :D

mountain carrot farm ftw!

It will not let me plant grass.
I have seed in inventory and it won't let me click.

you did pave first right?

you don't need it, but if someone comes along and destroys your exit CR or you plan to bring in animals at any time, its a good thing to have :P

Well, I have a couple of questions.

1)What factor ingame determines the level of huntable animals that spawn? Is it random, although whenever I hunt any bear, its always of level 10.

2)I have some confusions about leaving scents. Are scents left only on claims or is there any way that they also appear on unclaimed land?
No trees were killed by this post, but a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

The civilisation factor - the more settlements, villages, claims the lower

AFAIK Tresspassing, Theft and vandal only on claimed land, where others like assault, battery and murder are left anywhere they accure
If you steal from a dying hearthling (even if it's your own char) you'll leve theft scents anywhere aswell

I was hoping for a shorter list :P I know I can work out LP/hour/weight etc off that table, but I was asking in terms of which curios are easiest to get high Q in, and thus the ones using all the time. Basically, what curios does every more experienced player make and use regularly?
