No, I'm talking about animals that are aggressive. Ones i've just agro'd. :)

Animals can't path-find through gates, you kind of have to lead them through. (Line them up with the gate entrance.)

they run around to open gates the same way they run around cliffs...maybe you should test it. :geek:

Is it only certain animals? I hunted many deer like that early on this world (I'd pull them to my base, run inside, then an alt would signpost them against the palisade), and none of them ever went inside, they would just stop right in front of the gate. Although I would close the gate 5-10 sec later, so maybe their pathfinding is just a little delayed around gates like it is when you kite them by parking your boat on shore.

Amanda44 wrote:Yeah, I'll add this if it will help. Also on both occasions I initially agro'd on the south wall and gate is on the east wall. From what you are saying they should corner and find open gate, but neither did, the boar got stuck on corner wall c/p at first, I had to come back and lead him around it and then he got stuck on gate c/p -

I, too, have found it to be buggy. When they're next to (or near enough) to the gate AND it's on the same wall, they have no issues charging in. It's just like stepping out of your boat when hunting. If they have to come around a corner, they can get stuck on the corner. It doesn't seem the pathing algorithm is deep enough to make that second turn when it comes to walls (they'll certainly find a way around cliffs, though.) If you're far enough away or the gate is, they don't see it and will stay where they are. I have also seen them get stuck at the gate a few times. I don't rely on this happening because the animals can and will run into the gate. (Love locking them in the palisade gate to tame. Easier than using a lake even if a bit more dangerous to set up.)

Do you have winemaking? You need that to plant grape seeds.

Also, is it a grape seed, or just a grape? Because if its a grape, you need to press it to get the seeds

If I separate a piglet from its mom via a fence, will it still be able to get milk from her?

As long as it's within its radius, yes.

Does slaughtering piglets, lambs, and calves result in lower quantity? Already established that it does not lower quality.

Edit: Also, what is the radius for them to get milk? Does the quality of milk consumed by the baby animals matter the same way the quality of feed in the trough does to the adults?
