Edit: Also, what is the radius for them to get milk? Does the quality of milk consumed by the baby animals matter the same way the quality of feed in the trough does to the adults?

1. Yes

2. Believed to be the same radius as trough. The milk I believe averages with the fodder, but I'm not sure about that.

Assuming tables, mulberry leaves (all that caps without making actual silk/boiling cocoons) is high enough q not to cap, about how much Q does silk rise in one cycle?

Too lazy to do proper math atm but it's slightly under 4 QL per cycle for silkworm which translates to 3 QL for thread and 2.25 QL for silk cloth.

The assumption was that your spinning wheel isn't capping quality so you shouldn't be losing any from any of the steps unless your stats are too low.
Filaments are a direct translation from cocoons, no quality is gained or lost.
Threads can gain or lose quality based on the quality of the spinning wheel.
Cloths can gain or lose quality based on the quality of the spinning wheel.

IIRC wheel and loom aren't capping but influencing, so with constant tools cocon weight is three quaters for thread which is tree quaters weight for cloth, so you're not loosing quality but cocon weights only at nine sixteenth for cloth. Ergo, for 4 QL increase on cocon you get 2.25 increase on cloth.

From what you are saying they should corner and find open gate, but neither did, the boar got stuck on corner wall c/p at first, I had to come back and lead him around it and then he got stuck on gate c/p -
I, too, have found it to be buggy. When they're next to (or near enough) to the gate AND it's on the same wall, they have no issues charging in. It's just like stepping out of your boat when hunting. If they have to come around a corner, they can get stuck on the corner. It doesn't seem the pathing algorithm is deep enough to make that second turn when it comes to walls (they'll certainly find a way around cliffs, though.) If you're far enough away or the gate is, they don't see it and will stay where they are. I have also seen them get stuck at the gate a few times. I don't rely on this happening because the animals can and will run into the gate. (Love locking them in the palisade gate to tame. Easier than using a lake even if a bit more dangerous to set up.)

guess that means I'm either really lucky or unlucky...I've never had 1 get caught on a cp  then again its not something I do very often(less than 10 times so far this world).

Since 3 herb tables work with 4 cupboards for silk optimally (right?), how much can I fit in a mansion at most again? Waiting on my straw :3

Do all caves have an entrance, and do cave foragables ever spawn on mined tiles, or is it only in caves?
