Yep, a bad RNG would put a calf outside the wall to the east.

Best suggestion is to build a roundpole fence about 10-15 tiles in from your outer wall. The odds of a vagina cannon shot occurring seem to increase the more cows there are in a given area.

What is considered a high quality kiln and high quality bricks, in a late world?

80-90 is the highest natural clay you usually see. But with feldspar and a q70+ kiln, you can make 90+ by making boneclay with bear bones. eventually you can get 120ish with trollbones if you're dedicated.

Thank you.

Is the calculation for bone ash known? It's not on the wiki.

Supposedly it's the same as fodder radius.

Same as absolutely everything else that comes out of the kiln: (2*material + kiln + fuel) / 4. The material being: boards/blocks, bones, unburnt clay item, etc. It's on the wiki, but forget exactly where. Either under kiln, ceramics, or the quality page.

I built a a palisade cornerpost on the edge of a cliffwall. the cliffwall goes east and south. My cornerpost is 1 tile south of the 'elbow' of the intersection of the 2 clifwalls. I paved and made a palisade going east, but I can't do this going south off of the cornerpost. Has something changed where you can't build next to cliffwalls? If so how was I able to do it going east but not south? Both sections are paved adjacent to the cliffwall.

thnx

Oh, that's very useful. I didn't realize that EVERYTHING made from a kiln followed that recipe. Thank you.

Yes, there have been a few updates this world to cliffs to prevent cliff jumping and other such exploits.
