I built a a palisade cornerpost on the edge of a cliffwall. the cliffwall goes east and south. My cornerpost is 1 tile south of the 'elbow' of the intersection of the 2 clifwalls. I paved and made a palisade going east, but I can't do this going south off of the cornerpost. Has something changed where you can't build next to cliffwalls? If so how was I able to do it going east but not south? Both sections are paved adjacent to the cliffwall.

did you seal the cornerpost? I know this sounds like a silly question but people seal them sometimes just from habit and forget...

no it isn't sealed, so i'm a little confused about it...i click on build wall south and i walk to the spot, but no signpost comes up, then i bump back a little

Without clicking on the corner post try and place a fence sign there. If the sign can be placed its a bug with the pali. If a fence sign can not be placed the cliff is interfering with placement. I've learned when building near cliffs to collect a bunch of branches and put one into lot sof fence signs to see where things can be placed. Then you can remove and place permanent structures.

what if my animals fence is on a green grass and I have fodder. Will my animals eat that grass or fodder only or combination?

Added: Another question. I know that palisade cornerpost requires a paved tile. What if I have 2 cornerposts with a distance of 2 tiles one from another which are unpaved. Will I be able to make a gate between them? There is no objects between them just a caveground I can not pave. It works with a fence but a fence cornerpost and a wall section can be built just on caveground without paving.
I need it for cave entrance protection. I found 51st tile from entrance I can mine, I can place a cornerpost there. I also can pave and place a cornerpost 2 tiles away but not between them. So will I be able to make a gate there?
