Pigs are slightly faster than sheep or cows according to something I read. Certainly not longer. Sadly voting on vagina catapult personally.

If you are doing it by placing a minehole randomly - pretty low chance it will happen to be right on top of a node.

If you look for ore by finding some open caves and mining the walls every 20 tiles or so, you'll find some easily.

well, surprisingly I got a piggy baby today
I don't remember exactly how many days after I tamed my sheep I tamed my pig, but it was definitely a couple of days before the first lamb came. I already had a male pig so they had fun right after I tamed her. And during the time my pig was pregnant I had two lambs. But it looks like second lamb appeared much earlier than I expected. like 2 real days after 1st lamb appeared

Kill stuff, forage stuff, raise surv to 200 to butcher stuff. Get a high Q axe too.

6400 perc*exp, more survival, and dump everything else into UA for some survivability

I actually like about 150-200 MM as you can get a q70-100 bow pretty easy come mid game (decent Q skinning tool and enough survival not to softcap it to make strings for the bow), which makes killing anything fast. With a good tree farm, you can have q100+ bone arrows, too. (Or if you'd rather just stick to a sling, a q70-100 sling isn't too hard, either.)
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

q90+ bows have been available for trade as of about 2 weeks now. So I guess we'd have to say what, 2 months into a world?
