2 questions

Postby Gharth » Thu Aug 08, 2013 9:08 am

Hello, I am enjoying this very much but I have 2 questions if any could help I'd be very grateful. First is when I try to build a kiln it says can not build that here. Where do I build a kiln? Also, how do I cook the fish I caught, I took cooking but all can make is rat on a stick. Thanks

You have to pave the area under where you want to build a kiln, and in order to cook the fish first you must cut it up. Right click on it. Then, make a fire and cook the meat.

For me its been a max. of 4 tiles, even though i tried laying boulders along the walls. Luckily, none of my catapulted animals have fallen victim to any outsiders till now :)

Anyways, I hav some confusions to clearify. Im having my main currently as a fighter/hunter.

1) Apart from providing resistance towards animal attacks and punches, does increasing UA also increases resistance towards sword and axe attacks?

2) Im a little confused about the meaning of bronz sword dealing 325 B.damage. I used to think its the damage one gives at melle skill=1(sry if that may sound noobish, lol.)

And yes, my english may not sound good as its not my native tongue.

PS: By now I hav 88UA and 28 Melee, so do I continue increasing UA or do i try increasing Melee too?

1. Whatever stance you're on excluding the Shield stance, increasing UA means opponents' attacks will drain less of your defense.
2. Base damage is Q10 sword, 10 strength and the opponent has 0 defense. The melee skill does not increase damage, it increases what's your defense worth while you're on Shield, and it increases how much defense you bash to the opponent.
3. Increase whatever you want, you make your own fighting style. Most people increase melee to 150 or 200 then stop (or early game, 100) while increasing UA as much as they can.
Oh yes, and if you want to actually survive human attacks, travel in packs. You don't want to be ganked by 50 people who have 10 UA, even if you have 100 UA.

Hey, I have a small problem and I hope someone can help me!

I picked up something and traveled back to my hearthfire via the command, but then I got logged out. Happens occasionally, so I just went back in, but I can't select log in where I logged out and when I want to respawn at my hearthfire the background is just black and I can't move or log out. :(
Only happens with this one character, the other ones are fine. Why is that the case?

I started playing with a friend and we were finally starting to build SOMETHING up. Would really suck if I had to create a new character. :(

EDIT: I've waited a bit and tried to log in again, no the background isn't black but I still can't move around...

If you are using enders client, try deleting that characters belt file. Itll be named belt_charname.conf

itll be in your ender folder
