Just thought i'd update everyone on the weird beetroot

space : 1
MW : 2
time : around 123 hours ( was at 98% after 5 days and 1.5 hours )
LP : 10k ( 76,367 at q 45 and 360 LA)

I did not try to replant it, thought it was better to find out if it was worth studying before i tried to see if it could be farmed.

cheers

If you click plowed ground you cannot reach you can find out if it's plantable without actually planting it. Place a sign between you and plowed tile, click plowed tile to plant, if your character moves it's plantable, if not, it's not.

True, but I myself wouldn't have thought about that
Hope you have a great day

I'm sorry if it was asked before, but i found no answer in ring of brodgar wiki and reading almost 700 posts in this thread is ...well...i'm too lazy to do it.
So, question: Does nature/industry slider affect ant hill curiosity ratio? Especially queens and empresses? I ask it because i was neutral for some time and queens were rare, but obtainable, then i went full industry and i could barely find one in a day or two. Now i'm shifting to nature and queens start poping out of ant hills again. It might be just an RNG playing with me, though.

AFAIK RNG, devs may be able to elaborate.

No, never that I've seen. I mostly forage on my full Ind toon just to get the extra feldspar and grey clay. I get plenty of empresses and queens.

Also, no need to read all the posts. One of the nice things about phpBB is the little search box at the top of the thread and forum. It lets you search just that one thread or forum without going to advanced searches.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I've gotten 2 strange roots from removeing somewhere in the range of 200-250 stumps I lost count after starving the 5th alt to get the eye sores removed. So they are semi rare, 1 out of 100 stumps as a guess, and considering the ammount o time and stamina removing stumps takes they are more of a ooh shiny things then anything worthwhile.

I've gotten 2 wonderous woodshavings after makeing 4 timber houses, 1 log cabin, a dozen or so barrels, and many many crates, a few coffers, and a lot of cupboards. so these are also pretty rare.

Both are, as DatOneGuy put it, "stupid rare" for some meh curios, I sue them on alts, or when I'm running low on foraged curios due to spending time farming.

ive found more than half a dozen of strange roots, yet never found any wonderous woodshavings after making 6 timber houses, barrels, cupboards, charcoals and all.

to REWB,
as sabinati said above.
to avoid that, place your birch bark first in your inventory and put normal barks later, otherwise the system uses birch barks as normal barks. i think it is now a well-known issue, just like a hardened leather being used as normal leather when crafting more than 1 hardened leathers at once.

Oh...I see what you mean now...got it.

Thanks for the help

Usually 1 per 50 mussels or so, bit more chance than pearl, tho.
