Mines, and how they work?

Postby Slaya15 » Fri Mar 09, 2012 2:10 pm

I think I understand that as you enter a cave, not a mine hole, you are on level 1 mines correct? Is it possible for a cave to have you enter on level 2? Mine holes go to level 2, from what I understand, but how do you tell what level you are on, and how do you further proceed to the next level of a mine? I've poked around wiki and forums for hours looking for the answer to this question of my own accord but either I didn't word the searches right or it just hasn't been asked in the past bazillion years.

Caves only enter Lvl 1. Mine holes are required on each level to reach the next.

OH! So I build a mine hole inside of a cave and it goes down to the next level... I get it now. xD

Is it better to just start off with a mine hole if you have the leathers for it? I'm a newb, is going to L2 a bad idea?

Off topic but... Bloated Boletes I've seen on the Apples for Oranges thing for like 15 points... What does their quality have to be in order for them to be worth a damn? Cause I got a bunch of like 15-20's, and wanna get a decked out 100-ish quality pick axe cause I'm a tard.

And a q20 Ant Empress.

Easiest just to find a cave entrance to be honest. As for going down a level, not much point until you have your metal working infrastructure up, start training str (Requires more to mine on each level) and a blacksmith.

I knew about getting strength up, cause mine is kinda low so I built a table and put crappy dining wares on it so I can pump up my str FEP's. I fish most of the time while waiting on my curio's to finish up to give more LP, but I also learn int as well as strength so I can fit more curios. My last character had like 30 int and I was on top of my newby LP game, always had LP to spend on more Exp / Survival so I could get bigger and badder curios. This character is kinda... Dead on the water sorta. I got a cave, with ore, but I've been unlucky with getting metals so far.

Would it be possible to like... Give over a q15 and another q15 and have it count as a q20 or what?
