Bee Hive not producing

So i built a bee hive a while ago and after maybe 10 plant and growing cycles of roughly 50 plants, i haven't gotten a single thing from the hive. Is there something going on or are the chances really that low? Yes the plants are in the hives green circle thing.

i assumed bee would return anything with the word bee in it, my bad. But thanks for the info, ill search better next time, i promise!

It might be a good idea to make a stickied thread with alot of useful links. Things people constantly ask. Sorta like a compendium of QnA.
