Enders Client Issue

Postby Fitzstar » Mon Apr 09, 2012 4:34 am

So, I've had multiple issues with enders client in the recent past, and have sifted through all the topics until I got it to run. It works, seemingly fine, but there is another window open the whole time with a Java.IOFileNotFoundException thing in it.

I had enders running before, but had to reinstall and update Java recently. I've never seen the second window open before and cannot find anything on it in the topic.

On a side note, does anyone know why Java seems to utterly devour CPU usage? I can't imagine the program is honestly that intense.

the Comand prompt?
I think it's just steady running the game.
Cause it does the same for mine and i notice if you close the comand prompt it shuts down ender.

The command prompt is normal for when ender's starts, although the Java.IOFileNotFoundException isn't supposed to be in there. But, hey if it works it works. =p

If you use javaw.exe instead of java.exe you can close the prompt.

Change your run.bat to use javaw.exe instead of java.exe

Thanks for the replies!

I did a little more research during the down time last night and found that because I am running on a 64 bit system, but not all java programs run in 64 bit, that I need to have a 32 and 64 bit version of java installed. When I updated java and wiped the "old" version I had apparently erased the 64 bit version entirely.

Once I had both versions installed correctly everything ran with no problems.

Thanks again, though, for the responses!
