I however will not support you.

What has Haven and Hearth done to you? :(

Surely you are not arrogant enough to believe that V is alone in her opinion of both you and your ulterior motives.

I'm aware paranoia is endemic here, and that is a bit disappointing that some of the most industrious players, like LadyV, are so scattered and unwilling to explore ideas like The Edelreich.

I thank Eemerald, at the very least, for maintaining her neutral observation for this project, but shouting "arrogance" and 'destruction of the game as we know it,' seems like very poor behavior that would not happen anywhere but here (and the disdain seems so genuine).

I have shown nothing but sheer honesty. Take my words as you read them, because they say exactly what I mean to say.

If you want to imply to people that everyone who see's through you is paranoid, lol, be my guest. In all honesty I don't even care.
In my experience the best thing to do when it comes to you Vaku, is ignore you and eventually you will fade away. I only came in here to say LadyV was not alone.

Yes, you'll make a few elaborate threads and a lot of noise for a while about how important to the community you and your ideas are but when no one can be bothered to read them any more and interest has waned again, well, pretty much like every time around.

As for community projects, I'm not bashing them in any way at all, I just don't think you and I have the same idea of what community project means. Incidentally, which is part of my point, I heard all about how you drove everyone to insanity continuously waffling on at great length about how everything should be done and never accepting anyone elses point of view, the same as you do here.

I thought you were too busy to head this project anymore anyway and had handed over the reigns, lol.

You enjoy your come back while it lasts Vaku, I'm more than happy to leave you to it. :)

LadyV was a very active member of EC and has supported over her time in this game a hell of a lot of people too. Often re-doing old villages and giving them away to newer players. I don't feel her objections are paranoia, it's just difference of opinion. Most people do community activities without needing anything grand or elaborate to head it as, most will do it, with few people really knowing much about it too, and I think majority do it in their own towns, their own governance, their own rules/laws, etc etc. Which is why many don't like this idea, and find it hard to swallow. Not least the general tone of the Edelreich original idea was pretty exclusionary, in the sense people probably felt it was very much set in stone already, so their involvement wouldn't make a great deal of difference.

Eitherway, each to their own!

I don't see it as paranoia, it's just another point of view that needs to be respected, as being opposed to or not willing to participate in this project doesn't make one wrong or stupid. I am sure they are not alone in that opinion.

But I do think this would be a interesting project if it were done in a different way. It is simple math. I don't know you and the other project heads, and many others also don't. I, like many others, am already part of a village network. These are people I trust and from whom I know what to expect. Why would I join yours? Moreover, why would I join yours and give myself more trouble with bureaucracy, meetings, spies, and power play? I want this game to be fun and not like a rl job.

My suggestion is that you open a Q&A thread (in ICA please) for potential members. They would ask simple questions about your project, and you would answer clearly. One criticism I hear and have myself is that you cherrypick and don't give satisfying answers.

In my opinion, one should never trust a guy who doesn't give you clear answers....

Venator: Exhibits A(Most Unwieldy—Most points addressed: The thread with familiar faces ), B (It's the tiny post I hid at the bottom), C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M N (Me addressing everything without reposting the entire forum)...

Creating posts which address every statement becomes very unwieldy. And I do consider Amanda's critique, that

therefore I select the points to which I can respond. It is unfair to think you, or anyone else, does different and is not mindful of how they spend their time addressing points. I create very few posts where I do not address as much as I can. It's not cherrypicking. It's time management. I am sorry I cannot satisfy you (nor the others to whom you refer) with the thousands of words I've written.

venatorvenator wrote:My suggestion is that you open a Q&A thread (in ICA please) for potential members.

Thank you for your suggestion. I realize much of this is off-topic and has no place in jcm2214's thread.

Amanda44
That being said, Amanda. Oh Amanda, Amanda, Amanda. When I read your post, I was tempted to respond in a private message, the topic being: Why You Gotta Be So Mean? But I realize now, this needs to be addressed openly, in a thread of its own, perhaps titled,

    Is Vaku a Stalin-Fascist-Sycophant or is Amanda44 a Ditz?
My vote: +1 stalin-fascist-sycophant

When you write,
Amanda44 wrote:As for community projects, I'm not bashing them in any way at all

that is 100% true because you're busy bashing my character. And "waffling?" Fuck off. The only person who waffles is waffles and he's banned.

If you suspect there is a reason for me doing something, I probably wrote it in the very post that "something" appears, or immediately after the post, with an explanation. Enough with the false clarity and paranoia.

Being a vocal talking head is not the same as being the head. Quit taking shits in jcm's thread—in D&T.

Will a mod please send the ad hominem crap to Hel or Inn of Brodgar?

Eemerald
As usual, thank you for your level-headed input.

@Vaku If you wish to address me then do so. I am not Amanda. No need to list me under your reply to her. As for will a mod move these posts to Hel, no. It is perfectly fine to address concerns for your project.

@Vaku - If you don't like my replies then don't respond to my comments, lol, I'm not going to appease you just because you think you are an important person.
Fine, you can call me a ditz if it makes you happy, I've been called far worse, - it doesn't change the fact that you waffle.

Seriously Vaku, you are wasting your time bothering with me, I'm not the least bit interested in your plans to become king of Haven, lol, - you have zero chance btw.
