Fast world + spiraling + new spiraling with boughs made the pace way too high early game. I think faster production is good, but instead of being a part of the formula in branches and boughs q, axe should just softcap them.
And also curio grind is awful, double lp and time on all curios.

ya i feel ya, normally i can do silk or steel no sweat with irl stuff but with the timers i cant reliably do anything by myself with my job and school

Just to add my 2 cents as someone who played as a very active hermit in 16.1:

The time speed increase made the game a lot less fun and manageable to me. From crops, to curios, to livestock... anything really, the game was too fast and required too much work too quickly. The old speed was just right for me. Everyone I spoke to in-game seemed to be of similar mind on this. They burned out quicker, and found the game less rewarding.

Dropped a table on my foot. Woke up To the toe nail throbbing in black and blue coloration.

Some people are complaining about how fast time went by last world, but imo it couldn’t go by fast enough. PVE world soon, thanks!

There's a game called Project Zomboid ... I know it's not that famous—you might not know it—but you should give It a try ... If you like pve.

this game doesnt need a pve world. killers will adopt different tacticst to annoy you. you will see your village palisaded overnight with no change to recover etc. its really no issue with such capable and villing scums like snail.

This behavior is easy to monitor and drop a ban hammer. This game is proof that pvp will not naturally regulate a population and keep that population at a healthy number. The griefing exists regardless. If an elite pvper leaves a pvp server to grief on a pve server then it really wasn't about pvp. No anger, just sayin.

This world was infinitely more enjoyable than any other I have played.

I don't give a single fuck that the 18 hour a day autists feel compelled to keep up with the 20 hour a day autists who are trying to keep up with the 24 hour a day bots.

Being a loud and vocal minority on the forums does not make you the voice of the people. Your use of the word "required" is the entire problem. Oh no. Anyway.

I was able to progress meaningfully at a very enjoyable pace. Everything felt very good.

You're stuck in an endless comparison death spiral that is sucking the life out of you.

Not my fault.

Jorb and Loftar are based and you're all silly murder hobos who need to touch grass.

Idiots.

This is the best the game has ever felt and if you disagree you're addicted and wrong about everything.

Look at me, I can spam multiple accounts and create the illusion that everyone agrees with me and you're a big dumb.

I genuinely hope they speed the next world up even faster until something in your brain breaks.

It's the only way to cure you.

Firstly, you sound way too angry about this. It really isn't that deep. People aren't making multiple accounts to argue with you, there is just a spread of mixed opinions about the issue.

Secondly, to address your point, when I play a hermit I'm not trying to 'keep up' with anyone. It's literally impossible go even get close to organised villages of people.

That being said, it sounds like you're not interacting with all the systems of the game properly. If you were keeping livestock, making steel, making silk, or doing any of the many time-sensitive things in haven and hearth, you might feel differently about how prohibitive the time speedup is.

Just feeding and organising my animals was too often and time consuming, silk progresses too fast and by the time I get home from work, worms or moths might've died. The demand for curios was too intense because they are consumed too quickly. You can leave farms grown, but I felt like crops grew too quickly.

You're entitled to your opinion, but it's clearly predicated on you not interacting with the game's systems properly, rather than a genuine desire to play and develop at a faster rate.

Yes. This is a playerbase of a few hundred. It is a game that would only ever see a few thousand if it had a welcoming playerbase. Current players trend towards actively hostile edgelords. Afew thousand would be a nice, healthy niche MMO population, keep the game going and be RELATIVELY easy to moderate. We are not talking about WoW here.
