You can now get a planting preview to plant trees and bushes at whatever angles you desire, by right-clicking a sprouted Planter's Pot. Suggested here, among many places. You can also Shift-Right-Click while holding a Sprouted Planter's Pot, to plant immediately, without the flower menu
