In PvP, the speed boost of chasing animals was being used to chase/get away and that became the dominant mechanic, apparently.
Strange to have the core pvp mechanic to be loaded up with 30 waterbags and then try to chase rabbits to try to outrun the other side while drinking.

I'm asking why what I am wearing should slow down an animal I'm chasing.
Mechanic was fine as is, its not more likely that a group that doesn't know how to utilize movement correctly moaned about it.

jorb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! change the siege engine bashing time to 1h instead of 5 minutes, nerf storm of swords cause its another go for the jugular, revert the speedboost change!
What amazes me more than how light the punishment was, is how nothing was done about it ingame. I'm actually starting to think people are frightened that you'll do it again, so to protect the server, they work with you instead of going against you, all in the hopes that you will leave the server alone.

This makes chases really boring since that was the only skill expression in them. Now it's just click in straight line, pick up speed buffs.

Tbh. this is an issue with the combat system, not with the changes. It's obvious these credo/eq bonuses weren't intended for pvp, so it's good they were fixed. There's to hoping for a combat system that's easy to understand but hard to master...

For what? Its good for PVE not for PvP as i know

Why should wearing bunny slippers make you run faster? But only when chasing other bunnies? If shoes make you run faster, it doesn't matter if you are chasing something or not. Unless the shoes can know you are running to chase something and then start to work better at making their wearer run faster.
