All you people bitching about new flour yields need to calm down. I have a rather small 6x7 carrot field that doesn't just keep my village fed with carrots, if I didn't shove them into animals mouths, we'd have so many carrots stockpiling up I could wall my village with them. My 15x12 barley field would keep my village in apple pies (not really enough flour to make anything but the best con food atm) for 1-2 days. Now it means that even if I kept only apple pies, that there will be apple pies around by the next harvest... or I could do less optimal things, like piros and pumpkin pies and the like. It's put the use yield higher, but still far lower than carrots or beets or even pea.

Just because it's 'realistic' or 'scarce' doesn't mean it's fun, in this kind of society baked goods are supposed to be a staple, not something that's a rare treat when harvest and it's back to meat and veggies the rest of the time, thich change helps make them a staple

You've dropped the amount needed way to low, I know I complained about the Barley being way too much, It should be 15 seeds. 5 is ridiculous.

Other then that, nice update.

71 pumpkin pies?! I have seen a single one of those :O :O

THANK YOU ALMIGHTY JORB FOR THE EXTRA FLOUR

I'll insist that the villagers say this grace before future feasts:

Ohhh the jorb is good to me
and so I thank the jorb
for giving me
the flour I need
to grind and bake
the pies from seed
oh jorb is good to me!

Take a look at Travian, in that game an event starts after the "world" has been active for a few months, in which the players rush to defeat an NPC faction, take an item from their villages and build a "World Wonder". When a faction completes a World Wonder, they win that world and the world resets and start over anew. I think Haven could use a similar mechanic.

I could not possibly disagree more if I tried, the concept of someone being able to interrupt what everyone is doing and saying "that's it, I won! start it over" is not pleasant

But that's exactly what the devs can (and will) do.

if devs want me to quit this game, this is one of the very few ways they can choose from.

In travian it may work because there are many worlds running simultaneously. New ones start every few weeks, so player who is starting usually chooses the youngest server and then he is guaranteed that there will be no reset for a year or so.

If you are referring to world resets those happen for entirely different reasons than the mechanics from Travian though. They come with major updates or major corruptions.

If you don't mean that then you seem to know more about the devs plans than anyone else here.

You realize this is technically officially World 8 (not considering early testing worlds). Apocalypse has happened and it will probably happen again. It's not the first game either to do resets. Most notable i would say Diablo 2, but there are probably other mmorpgs with that mechanic.

i had never minded the previous resets. there were reasons. but a reset for a faction winning with something and all have to follow that win? nah.
