Let's also not forget that 130% character development rate means paid people get to become that much stronger faster. No matter how fast a free player raises skills of attributes a paid player will become that much stronger faster.

The removal of stat caps this late in game might be sign of end times! This is good!
The expansion of the map might be an indication of the opposite and the devs might try to drag this dead corpse of
a world even further.

Palisades can never hand bashed.

I see an issue here. I can't even target a pali with destroy now. Nothing happens. So that means I can't test to see if Soak is set thats cool cause now I won't need to wait. Downside. If I mess up and need to remove a piece I just built...I can't target it by hand...

Heres something that can REALLY help though. New village/pclaim command. Remove wall. Got a villager you banished but he still have a wall left? Remove it. Messed up and need to remove a wall section? Remove it. Only chief/pclaim owner can do it. This way it helps remove old walls/claims and you can just nuke it using exp/influence/whatever. Hell i'd make cleaning out old towns easier and it means pclaim owners/villages need to make SURE they have the authority over the land before they expand etc. I can see some cons too but still beats the oops i misplaced that wall piece. Guess I need to build a cat/ram/WB and wait 1h/4h/24hrs

It sounds great on paper, but put in practice - if village command exclusive - it means if a potential opposer removes one's village claim and makes his own to extend over the other p claims, he can use this remove wall command at will. At least IIRC this was how it was done historically then, but more with evicting personal claims than walls. A bit of a roundabout way of sapping a palisade I might add if I understood this correctly.

The onyl real way to remove a village claim is if the village has been inactive for so long it looses all authority. If anyone is left active their LP gain would keep the village alive unless it was a huge village. Since only the chief would have the command and you can only take over a derelict village as law speaker it would both serve as safety catches to prevent most abuse.

The only real abuse at that point I can see is if the chief is a dick and after the village progresses so far he boots peopl eout and removes their claims and walls instantly.

And on Pclaims if you raid it to do this you would have to: 1.siege away shield. 2.break wall. 3.wreck claim. 4.place new claim and extend over walls. 5.Wait 8 hours. 6. If you haven't been tracked or nidbaned then you can: Go back to claim and remove the wall losing shield/LP/whatever devs make as payment to remove a wall on a place you already ransacked. Don't see many people abusing it there.

Also give the walls the same rights as pre existing claims. You cannot remove this wall as it precedes your claim. That kind of defeats the purpose of it in some cases. But I think there should be a criminal act/something that can be done to claims that your village took over. Lose shield for 24 hours and all influence. But the village on red alert cause you were greedy/needed the space back after you banished someone. I know lots of villages in this and previous worlds that had that issue. "Oh who has the prime real estate by the mine?" "Some guy we kicked out but can't remove the claim and he's still active so we lose ~20% of the much prized land unless we drain our shield to nothing and then break the walls and claim..."

Does that mean if a new player messes up building a palisade, he can't do shit about it? Even with no soak?

I also dislike the statcap removal.
I felt good getting into 300-ish stats, feeling that i finally, after 3 months of playing, can compete against a random raider and actually protect our town.
And now my char is worthless again, because i dont have inlimited CBs of food and dont use bots.

Time to download purus pasta, i guess.

I suspect the removing of cap is a trick to keep the players playing and testing the game, and the cap could return in next world...

Yup. You can't even target a wall. No more you are not strong enough it doesnt even try.

This also opens the door for people to be dicks. I just thought of this. Be in village. Bring in new person. They start a pali blocking a gate. Congrats! Now you need a WB/Ram/Catapult to undo what the troll did! Have sectioned off claims and areas? Well he just blocked every gate with a corner post you can't even target and wrecked your village! Want to piss someone off? Look for a claim that is only JUST to the wall. Place corner posts infront of their gates! They are now trapped inside!

I don't know if this was fully thought through but I foresee MASS trolling...

Not to mention building instantly invulnurable siege pockets, with a brand-new feature of completly and utterly blocking the defenders in.
Hilarious.
