As someone who has never used a Charter Stone, can someone explain what the Sublime Portico allows you to do that you couldn't do before?

It looks to be a cheaper one way version of a charter stone. So you build it, and use it to get to another place across the map. So you can walk threw, go trade and then hearth home.

Leashed animals now follow along if you travel, hearth home, enter houses, caves, &c. Could be all sorts of terrifying/fun!
Animals now leave a trail of blood when they are wounded and flee. You roll to see bloodspatter in much the same way as you would herbs. Animals take some damage when they bleed, so they may die from their wounds.

I'd really love to see some sort of change to biomes and their spreading.
“We still, alas, cannot forestall it-
This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

I highly doubt you'll see it before world reset. And even then. Quite sad though
English is neither my native lang, nor my best side...

So now I can lead my horse into a cave, and yet, I still can't ride it inside?

Edit: I mean "go through the cave opening while riding", not "ride it while inside a cave" - I know I can do the latter.

As far as I understand, portico is only one-way teleport. You can't teleport to portico. But in return it's cheaper.

You can ride it into caves and houses you just have to go at an angle so your character hitbox touches the entrance.
