By that guy do you mean the mycorrhizal unfunguy?

That comment had me run sobbing to hug my consenting mother tree.

I've created wiki page http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Blacksmith%27s_Bauble
Needed to rediscover Cat Gold so it would appear in craft menu.

Here's a very short tutorial video on hunting animals with no ua/agi (I had 5ua/16agi, more just makes it faster). Cheesing with UA/MC is just as easy as MM, so making MM useless for hunting didn't solve anything.

To hunt big game (moose/bear/lynx/mammoth) you need at least one of: cheese, horse or archery. Removing archery as an option just makes cheese more attractive.

Long cliffs that animals can't figure out how to path around work as well, at least in terms of building IP plus fighting it as you can hit it from over the cliff. Obviously it won't be trapped like you have with this boat method though.

This. I used to lead animals to an unpathable cliff angle, then block them from behind with an alt. They will attempt to bash structures when aggressively chasing you, but never when fleeing. As such they can get boxed in and as long as they can't find a way to path around, through your obstacles, you can put up defenses and exchange some HP to take off some HP from them as well. The disposable alts that respawn in their old spot might also be useful to just automatically bring down openings, unless openings are unique for each pair of combatants. Of course bears, mammoths and trolls are likely the main concern for high q bones breaking bone clay, or perhaps mooses with their base 50 quality bones could still get a decent quality :\

Yep, I mentioned cliffs and indestructible objects in my video too.

My first melee mammoth kill was on my under developed melee character using a similar poking tactic with the mammoth trapped in some cellar stones as it was near my base. Domestic animals are another really great indestructible block given that we have animal hearthing now.

All of these tactics fall under cheese though.

Animal corpses make nice blockers too, nothing like trapping a mammoth using bear bodies. (plz let us destroy animal corpses)
