nidbanes definitely need to have the relevant exploits fixed and probably also need to have some kind of additional strength either in terms of wounds inflicted or in overall combat ability since it's no longer possible to die to a nidbane if you commit only one or two crimes with a reasonable amount of your MHP present

maybe larger stacks of nidburns should transform into a new wound that cripples all combat abilities and stats similar to concussions

I might be wrong, but I think they only time they did a reset before 6 months was due to a data corruption. Worlds have otherwise lasted between 7 and 16 months usually.

Ish.

I am left wondering about this. I managed to bring my client to 10 FPS only when I spawned 200 random-clad players, on my modestly good computer. I'd be glad if you could verify whether this might be caused by some of the custom-client combat mods.

In my experience, this is a huge problem when trying to play the game with a processor with integrated graphics. Haven sux real hard at using these type processors efficiently. I am referring to vanilla client btw.

Spawning players standing still is fine, but when every player on the screen (30-40+ people) are all moving around, using moves, etc. Everyone's FPS drops hard.

Also yes, That nidbane with stair thing needs to be fixed, only reason it's caused is because a house is a map file of it's own so it just travels from 1 section to the other, which going in and out of a house changes maps basically so it follows.

Boiz. any info about injury "something broken" ?
How to cure it or will it heal on itself? I don't see it on wiki, so i suppose it's a new one. And the description doesn't say a word about effects and ways to heal it.

I still don't get the teleport to hearth fire on knockout (when soft hitpoints reach 0 right?). Since my main concern is that what stops player from keep attacking you when you get knocked out?
Is it A: Once knocked out I would get instantly teleported back to my hearth fire preventing player from attacking me. Unless I reach 0 hard hitpoints prior knock out, for example I have 40 hard hitpoint and 20 soft hitpoint and player does 60 damage that would mean KO for good, no? Since that's the only way i can see that working and having death still a thing.
Or B: There is a timer like a sand-clock filling up and teleporting me back to my hearth fire, but within that time frame player can still continue his attacks and I would have 50/50 chances of dying or escaping to my hearth fire.
Or even C: None above.
So could Jorb/Loftar or any other players that have already experimented with it, inform me, before I do anything stupid.

It's pretty clearly defined in the post:

Upon knockout, all combat relations are terminated, and you cannot receive new ones while knocked out.
After 30s pass -- during which time you can be looted for all you're worth as always -- you may teleport to your Hearth Fire, or log out. You are informed of this via a game message.

All combat with you is dropped, you can't be retargetted. Not sure how AoE abilities work, so there might be some bugs related to that depending how it's coded.
