This change is so bad. I just play this game to relax, there are enough threats to my life that adding this new swamp fever just makes me want to play this game less. Like seriously, maybe stop trying to kill us at every turn. I know that there are some people abusing every possible thing, but for us, casual players, just let us play this game like we're used to. I think I will stop playing this game if you every week will try to make my life more miserable. It's already happening in real life, leave the gaming experience to be at least some fun. Thanks.

You should make swamp fever contagious for maximum fun points tbh

it sounds like an amazing addition to this wound, infectious as well. Really give it to those sprucecaps.

I mean I was already pretty tired of a global pandemic killing everyone, but sure why shouldn't the game mirror real life -_-

From my perspective, wounds are content. I play the game as a survival game, and I enjoy managing a wild wound list. Think of that what you will, but that's how I look at it.

That being said, this does look like a fair bit OTT. Will adjust.

Uh, no. They don't even really think about what they're putting into the game other than its roleplay value.

I mean wounds add a flavor to the game for sure, not railing against wounds, it can be exilterating to get a heartshorn you need or that ancient root to finally knock off a nerve damage. Think the reason everyone is freaked out is that several bottles of snake juice can't outpace the swamp fever and all.

Severity and disability more to be an issue than a wound itself. We already had adder bite, which is famous for being randomly disasterous, which is fun, it's random and somewhat rare, but you know chance is still there. Swamp fever is just layering on top of it, because treatment involves dealing with adders and disables most of fun and risky gameplay for a period while fever is treated, and seems too harsh and alt-worthy already. I don't take issue with wound numbers, I do hate it when your character is being forced to hibernate until an arbitrary time passes to have gameplay again.

Unless the adjustment is extreme, I'd kinda want this removed. Swamps are just too crucial to the early game and it's gonna lead to people spawning more alts so real characters don't get rekt by the wound.

Even if the intent is for lower mineholes to be more difficult to achieve early, I would suggest that this mechanic disproportionately hurts smaller groups, which seems bad for self evident reasons. If wounds are the main deterrent for doing something very necessary, having a lot more characters to spread those wounds across is obviously a huge advantage.

If the goal is just to larp, consider having the wound not reduce HHP. It could make you super stinky and lower your charisma or something.
