  • Removed the rule, active in World 16.1, by which it was possible for a character to pass through gates while in combat if not having bought the "Rage" skill. It is, in 16.2, quite simply, not possible to pass through gates while in combat.
  • It is no longer possible to enter locked houses while in combat.
  • Entering a house/pocket world will no longer initiate the timed dropping of combat relations with people outside of the house/pocket world. Combat relations are maintained over world boundries as per normal, provided you remain close enough to maintain them. Note that animals will still drop combat relations as per usual.
  • Private Claims are, when built, activated instantly, requiring Vandalism to destroy, and extending crime protection to their initial 5x5 area. Private Claims cannot, however, be extended before their normal activation timer runs out.
  • Stolen items can no longer be tracked. This as they were mostly used as tracking devices.
  • Reduced the cost of "Rage" from 50k LP to 10k. Suggested here

So we get no homefield advantage at all?
and once you're aggrod there's no escape?

Then we'll know that. These worlds are intended to be experimental. If we do not bush against the boundaries in any way, they aren't.

I imagine that the effects will have other aspects as well, such as trade and commerce being more open, &c.

Respectfully, Jorb, nobody's thingwalling across the map for trade and commerce. You wouldn't risk your valuables like that. They're going to a thingwalla and teleporting to a charterstone.

What people will thingwalla across the map for is if they've got a character on aggro and are chasing it; or if they themselves are being chased and are calling for backup.

Honestly I don't understand why some of you guys are kicking and screaming like lunatics about single start continent, tighter map, "ruining" the game because they lean into PVP shit for once. Why do you care about new world launch if you clearly don't want to interact with or be anywhere near other players? Just play w16, non-PVP content updates will hit there too

Added this clarification.

Completely remove hunger reduction from quests and salt. It's not that hard..

Dumb as fuck changes. Glad to see you two finally got worn down and have now conceded to the dumbest idiots in the community and implemented their agenda.

I don't really care about PvP/PvE... sh*t happens. But why change mining like this? We already got one quality nerf with the stone axe and imo that was fine. But now... to push mining quality you basically need to rush Lumberjack, Potter and Gardener credo at the same time, just to increase your pickaxe q. Clay already needs HQ bones and a long quality chain with clay ->klin, flint, feldspar, quartz etc. Now pickaxe q is stuck in a closed loop. At best, with some luck, maybe you'll reach like q150. If you don't find good feldspar/quartz (and you can;t with low q paxe which softcap quality), while water and natural clay q are limited, there's basically no way to break through that wall. Unless you get lucky with a high-q ore boulder, or meteors start dropping -> then pure PvP factions just win the world... I don't mind making the game harder, but removing a key part of the quality chain... that's just not how you do it.

The claim thing was worth freaking out about and would have been like a day 1 world-ruiner across the board. It would wind up with them realizing how insane it was within like 3-5 days, and then they'd be left with the choices of leaving it because lol, or calling it Short World #2 (#3?) moving on to 16.3, or blanket deleting all existing pclaims, or etc etc.
