Do you want Even Footing, or do you want everybody to play a hypothetical version of the game that doesn’t even de facto exist (and kinda never has), because that feels fairer to you?

Ender has bots. Hell, default client does, if you wanna go there.

I use ender

So I guess we may need to define bots?

does ender have programs in it that will run on its own(forage bots)

My main definition of what a bot is a program that is "stand alone"

It automatically senses ripe crops and then farms them, sorts them by desired paramater(IE best Quality) and then replants said crop

Or it wanders the country side until its inv is full or a specific foragable, Avoiding hostile enities in game and then hearthing home after its inv is full

OR a program that will mine for hours on end, refilling its water cepticle and only mining within the boundries of the Supports

In hindsight sure.
A lot of people who are expert haven players didn't even know this trick.

I think it was less about not knowing and more about having thought of it and not being bothered to test :?

give me access to a test server with dev commands, I'll find all of the exploits

your only problem will be having to fix them before I make them public (cause you'll take too long to fix them)

Jorb and Loftar literally designed it to be this way. It's not like hafen was something they just discovered in the forest that they have to decipher. They literally made the edge cases they just don't test them.

it may sound truly insane to the average brainbroken hafen player, but for most game designers ‘Complexity Creep’ is a known term for a problem which they labor to avoid

I'd be shocked if jorbtar have even made a roadmap for development at any time in the past 10 years

umm, (world 8 was 11 years ago FUCK!)

I vaguely remember them making some sort of roadmap at some point early on in the Hafen Era but it was certainly not kept to and there’s been nothing of the sort ever since “Our Primarily Development Direction is OCO (and at one point nearly a decade ago, the beloved ‘client rendering rewrite’)” became basically the only long-term development aim.

LMFAO

(Seasons were the ‘third wishlist item’ back in 2018. Imagine the timeline if they waited until oco was done…)
