At least if they weren't allowed into shallow water like in old haven, you could aggro, run to water, then be able to get back and raid it without fearing ur char is dead by doing so.
Either way ive just avoided them unless im on a boat!

I don't know how you guys have so many problems with ants. Raid a hill, walk away about a minimap's length while they follow you, turn around and run back to raid the hill.

because without initially have a flask or something running away and losing stamina is an issue. but yes, its not much of an issue once youre a bit more settled int he game and can create bucket/flask etc. but I was talking about ants at least previously being main source for new chars to gaining curios etc.

I would suspect that's why the faster ants were added, ants were absurdly trivial for the potential rewards they could bring to a newly created character. Imo ant empresses are way too valuable to be that effortlessly gained.

I did all this with wooden cup. You just need to refill more often, in fact you don't actually need to drink while you're raiding ant hills, running for minimaps length doesn't drain your entire stamina.

And when after some time fruits dont fill your energy bar anymore and you cant find anything else to eat, you avoid loosing stamina at all cost, so no ant hunting.

You definitely don`t need to run away and actually don`t even need to run back to the hill, if you walked far away. Ants are crawling, so walking speed is enough to outrun them.

A torch you can stick on the wall which stops bats from spawning in a radius, which burns out eventually (to stop people completely de-batting caves). I can't even leave my cave base as the only tunnel out is always flooded with them...

not always.

I was knocked out by ants as a new char on first day I played. and they stuck around attacking as soon as I got back up, didn't even allow me a chance to speed off.
but that was like me assuming it was the same as old haven and that they didn't go into shallow water :D

what happens when someone claims land, and your hearth fire is in their claim?
Do I get transferred somewhere else in the world?
I know that jorb and lofter mentioned something about it, but i forgot the exact details.

Previously, any hearth fires on your claim could be destroyed without leaving scents. They did however retain a fairly high soak value. Not 100% that this is how it still operates but it seems unlikely that it would have changed. I'm quite confident (though not 100%) as well that you can still log in at a claimed hearth, you'd just need to enable criminal acts to move.

PLEASE still keep Paypal as a Payment option. This is my only request as I trust Paypal and have never heard of this other payment service.

Won't be able to pay you guys without it.

Edit: Nevermind I read back a few pages and see that whatever this Xsolla is takes paypal.

Again, Xsolla accepts paypal. They are a payment aggregation service which basically would provide us the ability to offer multiple payment solutions without having to have a million store accounts with a million different providers ourselves.
