1 more thing i would like to mention about your KO to HF thing.

The only people who will actually die will be noobies, however this is ment to help noobies.

When a meany goes onto someones plot and kills them prior to them having a wall, they will then just go over to the guys HF and kill him. This is basically hte only situation where people will die going forward unless you choose one of the other options people posted.

Knockout teleported to HF and drop all gear/inventory would remove the knockout exploits and make it a great game mechanic.

It would help if you're killed out in the wild by another player you auto drop your skull, and the body teleports to your hf so you can at least bury your body for the lp stats. That way its not so unforgiving for the newbies and pkers alike. Because if you die to another player in the wild 95% chance they will take your body. They get your skull and you get a body to bury. Easy.

Also many of these people are saying "I would pvp if there was only ko on knockout".

That's kind of the point of this, to make pvp more accessible. Don't you want more people to fight?

It would be much easier to raise small armies if there was only teleportation on KO, which is a little more realistic. Not in the teleportation sense, but if we're basing haven off a kind of feudal atmosphere, there were very trained warriors (knights, huscarls, whatever you want to call them,) but armies mostly consisted of levies from villages and towns around the kingdom. It'd be neat to see this in haven but I'm not sure how it would work or if it would be either an incentive to PvP or just make people want to PvP even less, I guess it would depend on how it's done. If done right, I think you could probably get a lot more people into the game since PvP permadeath would no longer be too much of a worry for newbies, and it's a big drawback for some since the amount of hours you have to put into this game is insane. Dying once for a casual hermit or villageperson is pretty much the worst thing in the world, and I've seen too many cases of people ragequitting because this game is too harsh. I realize it's a draw for some, but if this game is going to ever get out of the extremely niche market it's in it needs to have these kinds of changes and improvements.

Also, I feel like general community feeling about these changes can be felt in this topic. I personally disagree with the stockpiling NPC, but I feel the rest are really good ideas and thoughts on the subject.

Do you think before you type ever?

Seriously man look at it from the perspective of others else you're just a hypocrite. So answer my question. What do you get from the current system that you will lose if permadeath is nerfed (note not removed)?

So that means that there'd be more people doing PvP? Isn't that a good thing if you like to PvP?

A combat character that gets reduced to 1hhp is going to be gimped for weeks, and that's much more damaging than some sprucecap that doesn't even have a wall losing his q5 conecows. Plus if you can beat all of a villages warriors and still have a few of yours in fighting condition, they won't really be able to stop you from bashing down the walls and killing them for good.
