I have unfortunately forgotten any details about that. What I do remember, however, is that you made me and Purus an explicit offer to bribe you with a direct PayPal transfer to leave our village unharmed.

I think I made some less than ideal complaints about that. In hindsight, I should've just made a thread titled "Dev request: official stance on RMT extortion" - which BTW is still a bit of an open question. Jorb has addressed it only with system-level changes like the hat transfer timer. Which I think was a good change, one point I raised was how people can be "tricked" into making a poor decision by putting them in a sudden high-pressure situation where an emotional response (attachment to a character) is exploited to bypass more logical parts of the brain (is this character really worth the price of the hat they're asking for? Wouldn't they just come for more hats later?)
