Would it? It would be kinda nice for me, but I must admit I don't quite see what you feel you would be getting from it. :)

Closure. This update is done for many month now. How long you will hold it over our head just out of reach of the hands?

Hopefully, and soon, the anti-stuck-at-every-pixel (glide along, bounce out, pathfind, I-don't-care-as-long-as-something-shows-up-to-fix-it) you said would be possible with it.

This.
Bouncing / gliding / whatever off of objects is something me and probably everyone dreamed of since haven started(?)
It'd be like a dream come true. Takes a whole layer of frustration that I've unfortunately had to get used to off the gameplay, and will probably make it easier for new / old players to get in the game.
Those that go nuts from getting stuck on things.

Just in case I hadn't been clear enough, having floating-point coordinates is a necessary condition for push-out, not a sufficient one. Figuring out how to fit such things into the existing stuff is still tricky.

Does it mean we'll see them being implemented only after the new world launch?

I think its good idea to push them out before new world.
So if it has some gamebreaking bug its not that big of deal. (if world is already old)
But if world is like 1 week old and game breaking bug is discovered and everything is screwed, its bad.

The men like progress toward their goal even if their goal does not became immediate reach.

maybe loftar meant its tricky implementing it into the systems that we have now instead of implementing it to the existing world structures

Certainly; I was just trying to defuse any unwarranted hype. :)
