a completely untested thing gets added to the game now there 2 less big villages on world

because they "abuse" it by reporting it and doing bare minimum with it. Im the 1 who got raided and I couldnt care less if they are banned kinda boring outcome, would rather have just got revenge

if this is gonna be the outcome id rather not have new content

I guess lofty or jorb got a bit mad after their "well developed" content has been proven faulty in mare minutes - to be more serious - based on the evidence that has been discussed they did nothing wrong and considering your previous approaches if you are rly that mad then half of haven population should be banned bc they "bug abused", i think you lost one of your best testers tbh

I wouldn't say it's a hate boner. There are some legitimate arguments as to why abusing several bugs during several worlds is not healthy for the game overall.

The game is based on a quality and stat "arms race" - whoever has an edge, whether it be with numbers (more people to actively throw at an opponent) or stats (better quality characters), will likely prevail in a pvp situation.

Whenever bugs and/or exploits are abused in pvp, that's definitely something that should be considered judging an individual.

if any and all exploit use is explicity forbidden, the language should reflect that.
"Anyone found exploiting a bug, perhaps even accidentally, will be given the severest reasonable punishment possible. Properly reported bugs will be rewarded."
this makes me never want to exploit a bug.
If you tell your teen that they can drink 'a little' at a party, the odds of them getting plastered is far higher than if you just said "no drinking", because who the fuck only drinks 'a little' unless they are trying to pretend they haven't drank at all?

The thing is that devs tend to ignore severity of a bug when reported privately.
For instance, dig deeper hearth magic for well was long known until it was used to break entire world qualities, and it's impossible to say how many more groups used it to silently make an overbuffed well to secretly use it since this magic was implemented.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner. If you dm loftar a bug, he says "Ok I'll look into it" and you find out 6 months later it still works that way, why shouldn't you assume it's not a bug and proceed? The only way to even get them to take bug reports seriously is just to air it out publicly, and is what everyone should do going forward.

and then 2 years later, when someone throws a shitfit about the bug, they ban you for "not having reported the bug and the """logs""" indicating that you abused it in the past"
