Bats spawn outside. They also spawn randomly even with players in the area. Just had one of our guys have 3 bats spawn on his head and insta aggro. That is just a silly mechanic for a permadeath game.

Which is exactly what I have been trying to say in the other thread!

I'm pretty sure they are aware of that by now though.

Well if not I just made a post about it in the IP :P So now they gonna see it for sure.

Yeah, this isn't about a healthy respect for mobs, this is just random death.
Its borked - fix it.

Personally, I've got a claim in my cave, and some still spawn within that claim.

I've gotten my marksman up and bought archery because of this, following the advice to shoot them. Well, that doesn't really work either so far.

Vampire bats do attack if you piss them off irl and they are a lot bigger than their cousins.

Nowhere is safe. Given that, they obviously need to make bats STRONGER muahahaha

Also, vampire bats are about this big

Even with vampire bats too, their feeding method isn't to flap and scratch the shit out of their prey, it's to latch on, take a little bite, and lap up the blood with their lil tongue.

Maybe... if they ARE vampire bats... they could be like leeches -- latching onto free neck or body spots...

And if they act like leeches... they can be weaponized.

Imagine: a raid on a village and suddenly, A ton of bats are loosed, latching onto everyone, draining blood...

I really need to stop giving jorb ideas.

So don't engage the whole nest at once?

I've seen something popping around in a couple of posts regarding the bat issue, can you verify they can be picked up, lifting or right click lifted?
