Prelude: World 15

In reality, the only players who benefit from shrinking the world are those who engage in PK. To maintain a dynamic world, it's better to keep it large, with numerous high-quality nodes at its center. As you move away from the center, the average quality of natural resources gradually decreases.

Imagine 3x3 spawn locations at center but 5x5 unlocked world, then after month 4x4 spawn location and 6x6 world. This could make worlds last longer and more fun, some people won't be able to survive initial early game but maybe they will come back when world gets safer for them. Unlike now, everyone survives but is bored and never comes back.

And what would make people come back? A new mountain with q10 edels? People do not like to come back because they will be far behind on everything and an extended map will not help that.

Please listen to the people who say that the world needs to be smaller. With the humongously large world in the last 2+ worlds, you barely meet any other players and it feels a lot like a singleplayer game, even early world where the player numbers are the highest. I nearly finished mapped the entire continent I was on before I met the first player (well, players in that particular case). Isn't that just sad?

Try to come near the salt basin when it's going to respawn and you will encounter many new friends. If you want more social aspects you can easily join a group of players.

W13 too small center cont, W14 too big. I don't think world needs to be smaller, but center cont probably should. Somewhere in between.

Either way the boston comments mean this world is gonna be pretty social early on if I interpret it right.

Not just PKers, but also people who want to trade and petty thieves. It will also result in more conflicts between non-faction players (people claiming cave entrances you're using and shit like that).

You're right, that probably won't make people come back, but I think it might make average playtime longer = more $$$ - some people will want to move from their initial bases, not pro players but hermits like me. I think it would be like having small W reset because new land = new opportunities and building fresh base gives excitement. Ofc you don't need increasing world to make fresh base - it's just my idea, I probably don't see clearly the consequences but it seems like middle ground between small world and very big world.

I believe a lot of people hold your opinion, but when push comes to shove the majority would find the game uninteresting if there were total safety. If you're one of the ones that would genuinely prefer it I'd strongly recommend >> https://store.steampowered.com/app/4131 ... ew_Valley/

I've played it for >600 hours and it's just an objectively better version of haven's peasfool hermit experience

bro your client is so advanced compared to 99.9% of players and you still complain about how difficult it is to fight in spite of the fact you have every possible advantage and then some over many other players

oh and don't forget you spent the entire early world stage harassing myself and my fellow villagers at every opportunity you could along with those losers that tagged along with you from Sevenless' village causing many of them to simply stop playing. You are quite literally the cause of your own boredom.

I remember world 11 when you selfishly wanted teleportation removed because some AD shidders were bullying you, and they lived too far away to walk.

It's almost like you would never be happy until it's a single-player game (which it basically was in W11/13/14), at which point you'd get bored and quit anyway.

???

The world that was even shorter than this one, that world 11? No clue what you're talking about, I have no recollection of saying any such thing.
