The unnaturally high quality industry they've had simply changed the owner, but it's still there, giving an important edge to whoever looted it and pretty much making the quality race a joke at this point.

I want jorb or loftar to comment on this. This is probably the dumbest thing out of the result of this event.

Only partially: the village walls and the well was erased, but the rest of it wasn't.
What's more, the q259 water is still in posession of some groups, it wasn't removed completely from the world either.
You can even buy it on the WB market:

Wait till you hear part of the players that got banned were part of the group that was looting that shit too

The devs have just been out of touch with the game itself for years

You need proof? there's no fucking alarm going off anywhere when there's a q250 well being created 1 month into the world. Cause why would there be? This is something only someone who ever played this game would know is not right. Same reason there was no alarm in world 11 when people had 623562378952% laurel food and 1k stats above the most autistic grinders out there, same reason there's no alarm when people get quality 600 forageables in world 13, etc.

The nuked village probably left a shittier set behind just to make it look they "lost it" haha. They probably already have a new village claim with a better industry already.

I doubt anyone will buy it for that price because it's not worth that much, really.

But it's a matter of principles: Haven was plagued by bug abusing since I've started playing on W5, where the dominant factions kept finding bugs how to jump over the wall and that was the prevailing tactic to raid your enemy.

Fast forward several years and we're still in the same spot, where the most reliable way to raid was to build an unbashable catapult on a knarr (interestingly, the party that benefited from it was not punished at all, and they did it multiple times).

The proven way to have the top industry is, again, to find a bug and use it. Even if you get caught, then your friends will still benefit from the subsequent fallout.

Idk, isn't it a silver bullet for competing top villages to have this bucket of water to set aside everyone else tree quality-wise?

With every possible resource being top quality for all mentioned villages, this will allow to make 10 plants of trees with water quality way better than others, having several high quality bonuses.
I never gave a lot of shit to this stuff, but If I was nolifer minmaxing everything, and someone at the same efforts having 30-50 better quality industries than mine ( by using bugged water, that devs hesitated to remove from game ) could be devastating to me.

I guarantee some q259 water has already been traded between players
Now we have a special class of players who get to use exploited water qualities
Inb4 a retard will say water quality doesn't matter again
People who get to use and keep this water will always have an industry edge on you
If you want to compete for first place this world you have to buy this water from players
This water will be traded for many tokens until the end of the world unless something is done about it
This world is fucked
