One can't interact with the survey frame lines. Interaction is limited to the survey dots. (
default vanilla client)
Ergo: It has the nice exception that changing the height of a single tile survey requires moving all 4 corners independently.
Still having the means to adjust the survey height from the UI would have negated this, kinda stupid but pure logical, exception.

That's what I meant, the dots on the frame of a survey area. And yeah, I agree with you, a slider in the survey UI would simplify the process.
Also, patch when? Summer's over.
Marking forum read since World 2.

Bug check ...
0)
Makes sure inventory and surrounding area is devoid of any terrain altering resources.1) Creates small survey on already flat terrain.
2) Moves survey area (
or a single point) way up.
3) Hits [
Ground level] OR [
Ground plane] button (
any number of times in any order).
4)
Not interacting in any way, shape or form with any of the survey points.
5) Hits [
Dig] button.
6) Gets a "
You need soil to fill this up." message.
+) Close survey UI [x], and re-open the survey to see the graphical reason why.Yea ... Its still there.
Probably one of the reasons why some run into first time trouble with the new survey.

The original system was convenient as you could adjust the height directly via the slider, this new system takes that away and it never gets anything perfectly level. I've wasted several bars of stamina trying to get it just right but it won't line up properly anymore. That said, the new system is worse, not better.

There's literally a button to make it flat, and instead of dragging the slider, you drag one point from inside what you selected. How is this worse?

The problem it it took away precise elevation control, something the original system had.
If the dev wants to revamp something, revamp permissions, they're in severe need of it. Whats the point of Denying theft privilege if rummaging gives the ability to lift and they can take the container outside your claim to loot it anyways? Rummaging is supposed to be "Look don't touch". Also, Animal privileges needs it's own category rather than being lumped in with vandalism

Rummaging allowed to lift and carry, but yuo couldn't leave the claim while carrying that object iirc. Was that changed?
