Are bear capes and lynx capes now completely useless? You would be better off using a straw hat and bat cape for mining instead of bear capes. Am I missing something here?

As I understand, the q of the clothing softcaps the bonus, so if you have a q 90 gluethread and use it on a q90 strawhat you get the full bonus, use a q40 lynx cape and you get less bonus. The only reason you would use a lynxcape is for the higher chance of an extra slot, since it's affinity is agility, however you cannot apply more than one of the same of type of gilding. So you could use a gluethread on a lynxcape, get lucky, and then use some hard metal rivets.

And yes, using a hat and a cloak is better since capes use 2 slots for 1 gilding.

i really hope this goes the weigh of curio charges and is removed next week. i fucking HATE this patch. you can now spend valuable materials like silk on making something. and gain NOTHING from it. ZIP ZILCH NADA. unless you value appearance. now you have to spend MORE to get anything.

now its gonna take a few weeks to raise my alts farming high enough to handle fucking beets. because the fucking druid robe will be useless. who knows, havnt looked yet, maybe the druid robe was spared.

Maybe, but bear cape has strength gilding so you are more likely to gild two or more strength boosting gilds

But how many of them ARE there? There can't be more than two that give strength.
