But on the other hand with the year ending, it would be a fitting time.

Try to think positively, you probably learned a lot from this world, apply what you learned into the next world and think of all the possibilities.

Been there done that, but since a month in (past my 2 month break) People have been calling for a world reset, it gets dperessing after a while. This world is not even a year old yet, yet many peoples cure all is resetting, when the players over all are more active and playing. But I wont lie I thought the best time was when the gilding update happened, so how did I solve that issue for myself, start a new main. Now I do not want to see the world end.

It feel like past worlds, i finally start to have a bit of fun then poof.

I get it.

I just wish if the world is/was going to reset, they'd hurry up and do it. I'm less inclined to do big projects with the looming possibility of the world ending hanging over us.

I just came back so I'd really like to finish my unfinished projects before this world is gone :P

Hopefully it won't be gone. I mean, we're getting 200+ people most of times still.
W8 barely peaked 100+ before the reset was announced. It makes no sense to reset yet :) .... I hope.

Cause many play till they die or get bored then start wishing the world restart to they can do it over again. Instead of just restarting and getting back into the game. The ill have one life and be done thing is way to common/ People also always assume they can never catch up or what not.

I hope its just something big with this update not a reset. I am enjoying myself still having fun playing and it just getting better and better with each update they do.

I don't mind about Jorb's "not planning your life around our updates" - but is it so hard to say about update delaying BEFORE update day, not AFTER a couple of days. When jorb tells "sorry, guys, no update this week" after 2 days have passed, it's like "okay, captain, we already got it".
Im asking about this, 'cause some players take an update time like a little world reset. I mean, silk-production cycle, steelmaking, cheese-making - all those time-consuming processes - some people are afraid of starting them just before update day to prevent server shutdown influence or update changing the mechanic.
Not a big deal though, but giving a delaying warning - not a big deal too.

Worlds don't reset because of player population
