this generally is my experience as well yeah
the only intentional reason I can assume for doing so is to avoid having easily locked down resource nodes for those sorts of things but idk

i have noticed that clay and water are pretty shit underground though- which is a bit ironic

What do my based posts have to do with the teary-eyed cringe you've been posting?
I'm not the one lying about imaginary bow users running around everywhere.

If you let us travel between the servers it's basically just making a really big world. No one stays trapped on any of the dead servers.

That's the first thing that came to my mind, but is it technically possible?
I assumed they already thought about it.

It would be cool if there were "World Border" thingwalls that let you hop to a different server. Sort of like the system Planetside had for hopping between the different worlds.

you could go full norse mythos mode and have a special Yggdrasil thingwall at the center of the world (maybe RoB is built around it) that generates the Bifrost and allows for such hops

It is possible.

I think they should seriously consider multiple servers unless they're sure that the lag is going to be minimal. The tradeoff would be worth it. People joining a new game they haven't played and being plagued by lag while trying to come to terms with how to play the game all while getting griefed by people has more potential to lose players than splitting the playerbase IMO.

If they think the lag will be minimal then ofc just stay on 1 server, but I doubt it will be minimal with this influx of players.
