I think fixing most of the bullshit we have right now (enormous stats, satiations etc etc etc) would be a significant progress in game development to reset the world

Understandable, but this world has gotten to the point where people have 10000 stats. It's really getting ridiculous, considering a bear can be beaten in hand to hand combat at like 150. No mob means anything now, only PvP is left. There's no feeling of competition for anyone because if you aren't among the people who own the industry that can get you to 10 thousand stats you can say goodbye to having any sort of power. The only thing normal players can do is shop in markets, go to events and jerk off in their bases because grinding stats means literally nothing if you can get 1 hit killed by people who started playing before you.

I would suggest the stat decay mechanic combined with a world reset (with the reasoning being that stat decay is a big deal change), hopefully it would come at the same time as the rendering change.

yes, combined with render change

He could play again now, but doesn't want to because the world is rotten, therefore world restart, so what's your point?

Is fixing "enormous stats" even possible?
If you cap it at some point it'll just make ppl create multiple characters with max stats and nothing will never change.
And regular resets would remove any future from the game, at some point ppl wouldn't want to start over anymore knowing that at some point all their work just going to be wasted.

I don't think that's as universal an opinion as you seem to think. Restarts are exciting and fresh and one of my favorite times in the game.

And yes, people will make multiple characters with max stats but that *still* means that there's a point where you *KNOW* you're going to be in even competition with the strongest characters in the game. That's not something any new player has any hope of now, period. You will be outrun on the uphill climb, and 10k Str proves that even diminishing returns isn't sufficient deterrent to make keeping up possible.

We need stat caps, we need stat decay, we need stat decay to accelerate with increasing stat size so that maintaining the highest stats is a costly and Sisyphean task.
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

How about changing that stat system entirely. I mean why do you get strength by eating a sausage? How about you get strength by doing tasks that build strength and if you don't keep it up you get weaker. Same with agility, you want to be more agile then do some yoga. You want to have more intelligence then read a book. Get the idea? Look at how do these stats cap naturally in the real world and try and emulate that in game.

Look at how do people communicate naturally in the real world and try and emulate that on the forums. Please.

This is a bad idea because these things would be easy to automate, even easier than the current system.

Also radically changing how you get stats would drive some of the players away. Because FEP-system, eating food to get stats has been a part of HnH for a long time. Just taking it away would be stupid.
