Can wild onions collected prior to this patch be bred into white onions, or do they retain the same potential as they had when they were picked?

This is not hyperbole. If you asked an LLM to search the forums for uncontroversial suggestions, and then to implement them, the average patch would be better. Like, by a lot.

this would require the development of some kind of object controlled object..

we did send literally step by step, pixel by pixel guide how to reproduce the bug, no action taken

but also, imo whenever they don't fix things like that for months/years and don't even acknowledge the problem, we should just make these bugs public knowledge :?

While I like variety in the abstract for worldbuilding, is not a new onion functionally almost pointless, except maybe in the very early game? The foods people eventually prioritize will use pickled ingredients, and all pickled onions regardless of type collapse into the same generic pickled variety. Not saying I want different varieties of pickled onion unless it adds something meaningful. Probably better to add a slew more higher-tier recipes that build on the newer crops in ways that actually use said crops.
