Okay, you're an idiot, hermits deserve it, never mind.

Placing a claim in front of a cave is a boon to criminals more than anyone else. I really doubt many players other than perhaps some large groups bothered with that tactic at the start of world 16 anyways.

I mean, is not like mostly every change made to this game in the few years was not about giving more power to big groups over the single hermits.
I'm surprised that a pclaim doesn't take at least two players with rage to build...

?????

How is this a boon to criminals? It doesn't prevent anybody from leaving or stepping off the claim. This was posted by Bob so every lil dipshit hermit could use it, and Yeomanry is so cheap that any lil dipshit hermit was feasibly able to use it to protect their base. My little group of 8~ tried to use it this world.

This is one of the few things that gave power to EVERYBODY and not just specifically only big groups. You can't just spew the same rhetoric without thinking and expect it to land.

Good luck getting a claim to get the 7 hours it requires. Gamme was a terrorist problem. Going out of their way to hunt down and destroy every possible claim.
Tried setting up 6 different claims in 6 different caves an every god damn time they were destroyed long before they could settle. The settle time needs reduced for the first week or two.

Like the ground floor of your argument here starts from "being able to place things stupid ways to create impenetrable bases" as an acceptable state of design, which is stupid.

Fuck hermits, this game isn't even made for them frankly. This change benefits criminals who rush vandal far more than the previous method. Who gives a fuck if they can steal the shitty clothes off my back if I can ostensibly just hide in my 1 tile claim pole palisade and rebuild. I'm not trying to stay up for 48 hours just to get a fucking palisade up so I can sleep.

I know it's not reasonable from a gameplay perspective but since when is waiting 3 IRL fucking days to have a somewhat safe base reasonable from a gameplay perspective. It's a fucking game my dude.

Of course not, it was made for cowardly terrorists.
That aside the settle time are far too long especially with it being the first people and said terrorists are going out of their way to hunt and destroy every last claim pole

The thing is, though, in a vacuum, the game should not be designed around pussy niggas hiding in caves. The direction of design should be towards facilitating people Playing The Actual Game. That's what my group does every world, we just drop a claim somewhere, maybe it sticks maybe it doesn't. If it doesn't, we find another place. Maybe we put down 3 claims, to make sure one sticks, whatever. This whole "WTF do you mean I can't just hide in a cave with no risk??? Rigged!!!!" thing is just people looking for ways to avoid playing the game, imo.

(I have only destroyed 2 claim poles (so far,) for the record.)

You think that's bad? Wait till trolls lock in and you and return every single day. Once they break a wall they keep returning to break your walls to make sure you can't repair

Obviously the game shouldn't be designed this way but it sure was fucking nice when people didn't have to stay up for 3 fucking days to re-log their alts when the server crashes every 3 hours. It was really nice when we only had to catch 10 moles and not 100 of them across 10 different caves just to make sure we didn't get left behind, especially since moles are such fucking cunts to catch and this new map gen has so many retarded cliff generations. (God damn have you seen the cascading 1 tile cliffs?)

This just benefits big factions again while leaving smaller groups behind. They have people in different timezones who can watch for trouble and take out leathers and log out the moment they're ready. I'm lucky to even be on a different timezone from my group to provide the bare minimum of this service.

The argument is just stupid that this benefits criminals LESS when it clearly benefits them far more. I don't care about hermits who try to solo a game that is clearly built around group play, that's their problem, but now anything but a huge faction is just fucked again.

Also Newbie I was with WB before, I already know what that feels like. I watched them get beaten back in w15.

this was a one person way to stay slight less vulnerable during the first few hours, last time I played with a big village and a random guy came to destroy our pclaim before it dried we just put a bunch of alts around it to keep it invunerable until it dried.
I admit this don't matter anymore since it's been years since someone destroyed my claim but this is a pattern from the devs, big groups do a thing - solo players start to do the same - the devs remove or nerf - repeat.
