with all due respect, if you had done worse you wouldve looked like a fool because it literally is not a bug that brought him to such ua.
chopping the tree already proved the point that no one had a clue how it worked and just blamed it all on an innocent tree.

I've been casually bitching about the absurd LP/hour possible with questing on C&I for a while now. Commune was just a minor convenience in the process. As much as I hate questing and how it's totally eclipsed studying for LP, it's not their fault these mechanics are available, and they worked hard to push them this far.

I used to love Jorb, I used to love Jorb, I even had the pink Polo, I thought I was Jorb. What if Jorb made a song, about Jorb? Called "I Miss The Old Jorb," man that'd be so Jorb! That's all it was Jorb, we still love Jorb, and I love you like Jorb loves Jorb.

S'kinda like punching somebody in the face for some arbitrary reason and then telling them you could've done worse.

When I first started using the Gerdgen network it was really clear some of the people who built it were really proud of it, put a lot of work into it. They were always willing to help me with using it. It's very clear to me nobody using the network thought any major bugs were being used, else they probably wouldn't have let nobodies use it, especially since it's so obvious how it was built/how questing at a high level functions when you have access to a good network.

I feel the better alternative would've been just to explain questing mechanics for the slow people if you wanted everybody to be on even footing. Either way, may I suggest giving out a few dev capes at very least to the people who made Gardgen, and an explanation as to what will happen when people re-make her under a new name so people don't waste their time?

The problem isn't what you did the problem is that you haven't really communicated why. As someone who hasn't used the Gerdgen tree system and has no real horse in this specific race, it seems to me the bug being abused is just using the systems as they are individually intended in such a way that they all overlap for massive benefits. This seems like more of a thing you should balance by patching out rather than punishing a bunch of players (some who may have not even been using whatever CWN bug loftar is referring to) by personally chopping a quest tree and ruining hours of work building roads. At least that's what I'm assuming has happened because (unlike most of your divine interventions) you haven't really made what happened particularly clear and players want the rules clearly established so they don't get banned/nuked and lose their days/weeks/months/years of progress to a rule they didn't know about/understand.

ie what the fuck do you mean by "refrain from offensive actions"? If I were to, say, take advantage of every buff possible (bonfire with massive CHA, best symbel, etc) when feasting to achieve massive attributes very quickly (which is the result of several intended gameplay features used in tandem to an absurd effect you retroactively claim you did not intend), would my table get nuked? THIS is what players are currently worried about ITT not whether or not bugaboos is a bad thing

#DicksOutForGerdgen

but in all seriousness folks, each and every one of you doing the commune spam knew damn well it was an exploit and you're only butthurt that you got called out on it. it was the same discussion years ago when people were building unbreakable walls with chieftain statues. there's a difference between intended gameplay and exploitation of the metagame and if you don't know the difference, then you're just being willfully ignorant.

removing the tree might not have been the best course of action, but you should all just be thankful that he didn't decide to remove characters.

Maybe the game is better without the powerplayers. Devs should just nuke and delete accounts of people that have more than 2000 on any stat.
(or add a statcap, at least to combat related)
