Some super hype new world changes off the top of my head:
  • Remove oceans, or just make the central continent 1 single big island that covers like 50% of the world's mass
  • Remove winter, or just make it something that happens in localized areas (like maybe only snow at the top of mountains)
  • Remove mine pyres (but keep the time gated mineholes)
  • NPC market / auction house / boston
  • Rabbit dungeon that's just a disguised running tutorial with a clover that gives so much swill as a reward it removes the need for most swill farming
  • Ore sack that can carry like 25 stockpiles of ore
  • Something that either makes pickaxes used instead of axes for mining, or buff other axes to mine as fast as pickaxes (still with lower mining strength)
  • Make the harder stone nodes a lot softer. The range of strength needed between the softest and hardest node should be like 100-300 strength, not multiple thousands as it is now
  • Roads no cost travel weariness
  • Map gen creates (A LOT) more nearly flat areas so people don't have to level terrain as much for generic village establishment
  • GREATLY REDUCE THE RANGE OF QUALITIES ANIMALS CAN BE. Bears should be highestQ animal in the game, and you should expect at least 1/20 bears to be topQ
  • Knarrs and snekkjas same speed
  • leaderboards
  • fortnite sound plays when somebody dies
  • global announcement when somebody with big stats is killed

could it not be as simple as making pickaxe ql count heavier when mining?

Claim simply being active should confer the current "Mound Bed" heat effect within its area. Add an OPT-OUT system for people who want to LARP or get a screenshot of their base with snow.

When trying to place a Minehole, but a timegate is active:
"Depths of Hearth quake and tremble from Old Gods exerting it." (rushing to place down a Minehole in L1 within hour of the world start, or in a freshly opened up deeper layer)
"Depths of Hearth are still shaking from Old Gods exertion."
"Depths of Hearth have calmed down, but still suffer from aftershocks." (few hours?)
"Depths of Hearth have almost settled down." (less than an hour maybe)

o, also reduce the dry speed of all metal moulds to be no more than like 3 minutes. Maybe 20 minutes for anvil if you must. They feel awful and serve no other mechanical purpose

End World 16 and start World 17 with no chnages, just as always is done.

Start World 17.1, double LP. Gain, double FEP gain, half all world timers (mine pyres, smelting times, cheese, crafting, etc) reduce in game day to 4 hrs.

Make the world last 1-2 months and do all the crazy shit people are saying remove rawhide, weaken walls, make sieges easier, etc make the game play faster so if all gets fucked up you didnt spend 4 months or 6 months, go fast and break things

I would expect that a good chunk of the player base would split their time.

Edit: if you can have 2 worlds running at the same time why cant you have 3? Leave world 16 and do nothing to it ever again let it become.legacy 2.0, then have a 17 and 17.1

sure, I can concede that, its not a game-changing issue for me, other people kept bringing it up so i chimed in. learned my lesson to just avoid horses with extreme prejudice

Raw hide's range does not extend beyond or even to render dist, and even if it did horses would still be used extensively in PVP. Your panicked hermit eye were deceiving you. If you think I'm lying login an alt rn you can test it faster than you can write a reply here

I would like to see a skill (24buff) that prevents you from all red hand actions and in return gives you a better chance (e.g. -40% grivious dmg) to survive an attack.

Also a visible buff to show "hey i´m friendly"

Pvp protection just kill every mmorpg. Visible buff to show "hey i'm friendly" is sprucehat. Guys, who's wear sprucehat never try to kill me.
